Launch Party for Arts Writing Fellowship

Join Honorary Hosts Kay Kendall, Chair of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and Michael M. Kaiser, Chairman of the DeVos Institute, to celebrate launch of the DC Arts Writing Fellowship and DC’s newest arts blog.

In addition to countdown and launch for the new site we’ll have drinks and snacks free of charge.

RSVP required as space is limited, and RSVP on the evite here.

The DC Arts Writing Fellows will be writing about the DC arts for the next six months. Come pitch them your ideas for coverage, and learn more about this project to support arts writing in the nation’s capital.

While the site hasn’t yet launched you can already follow the fellows on twitter at @Artapedia. Here’s Michelle’s article about The CooLots on Tagg Magazine, and Jonelle’s article about The Source Festival on UrbanScrawl.

The DC Arts Writing Fellowship will increase coverage of the local arts community through support from the National Endowment for the Arts, Humanities DC, Brink Media, The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, and DCRE Residential.

Come help us celebrate the Fellows and launch of their new arts website; don’t forget to rsvp on the eventbrite here

This event is free and donations to support the Fellowship gratefully accepted. Copies of our 2013 book Bourgeon: Fifty Artists Write About Their Work will be available for sale (cash only).
