Jonathan Katz, executive director of the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, wrote, “The book is full of revelations about works of art, about how artists work…Kudos to Robert Bettmann for giving us the fifty-first work of art, this well conceived and edited book.” And Michael Kaiser, president of the Kennedy Center, wrote, “I highly recommend it for any arts library.”
The book project was a big deal for the organization, gathering select articles from the archives our magazine, Bourgeon. The Editorial Committee — Kate Kretz, Heather Desaulniers, Diana Dinerman, Kathryn Boland, Cheryl Palonis Adams, John Shields, Gregory Luce, and Robert Bettmann — selected the articles for inclusion.
The artists included in the print book are:
Dana Tai Soon Burgess
